Subject: Thank You Blizzard
If i'm going to complain when they do something bad, I am going to compliment them when they actually does something nice. I think Blizzard listened to the Paladin community.

This next patch is awesome for Paladins. They fixed one of the bugs, and buffed up the protection and holy trees considerably.

Itemization looks alot better also. Paladins who want to tank can now get items in strat that have +defense and +int, so they shouldn't have to compete with warriors. Some more easily obtainable gear for holy Paladins would be a nice addition in following patch's.

What I am most excited about however is the soulforge set that is coming out. The Lightforge isn't very good for a Paladin that wants to heal. Not alot of int, iffy set bonuses. Soulforge has everything a Paladin needs. +dmg/healing, lots of int, mana regen, strength and stamina. I'd say its even better than Lawbringer now in terms of healing and gives us stats that promotes us moving to the front. The 4 piece set bonus for instance, chance for +95 dmg/healing on MELEE proc, screams "go to the front and swing your mace".

And yes, Blizzard did the unthinkable. No more begging lowbies, or spamming quest rewards in IF in order to find a group to do emp runs. They moved the LF gloves(which were bad to begin with) out of BRD and made them BoE. As a holy Paladin I am really looking forward to this next patch and what it has to offer.

And still doesn't do jack $!@% for ret/prot builds.

No melee strikes. No spell interrupts (while 'almost' every other class has one). No ranged attacks. $!@%ty heal. No way to catch up to a target. No DoT to keep a rogue from vanishing (while EVERY other class does). No way to beat a 'good' warlock.

Please try and refrain from using profanity in your posts. Masked or not, it's inappropriate. This is but one patch, and I've already stated we're looking to make the Protection tree more appealing. Improvements to the Retribution tree are a possibility as well.

I was out sick most of last week (nasty flu/cold) and the couple of days that I was present towards the latter part, were spent catching up on a hundred or so plus items. I plan to discuss a number of items with the class designers at some point this coming week, and hopefully I'll have some feedback to provide concerning the direction of patch 1.12 as it pertains to the Paladin.

In any case, Scscorp - I'm glad to hear you're happy with the upcoming patch.
