Subject: Blood Elf Classes
Does anybody actually care? I was never planning on rolling a BE warrior (as I have 2 horde warriors already).

Was anyone here ACTUALLY planning on leveling a blood elf that wasn't a paladin?

I don't mean an Alt, I mean, were you actually going to roll a Blood elf warrior from 1 to get to 70?

I'm sure there are many people that will roll something other than the Paladin.

I know people like to debate the class choices for the Blood Elf, but these are the choices. They are locked in. They will not be changing and no amount of petitions or posts are going to change that at this point. This was purely a mechanics choice based on a balance of class choices. I know many people are disappointed but I have a feeling that once people get a chance to actually start playing beta and then the expansion releases, very few will still be arguing about it. There will be some new topic that we will see a multitude of threads on by then. :)

Ok, so it's mechanics based. Is there any concern over stealthed BE rogues sneaking in and letting out an AoE silence in a group of casters?

(Granted it will be rare that you can set up that exact situation)

I will have to test it out myself but I'm pretty sure you would come out of stealth when you use the mana tap. You have to mana tap first before you can use the silence. I think at that point it would come down to what tactic the rogue felt was most beneficial, getting a stun in or burning some mana.

Which would you use neth? Cheepshot or mana tap?

I'd probably cheapshot then get the tap in but, until I test it out for myself it would just be a guess of what might work better. It would also depend on how many opponents. Might need to cheapshot, tap someone else and wait to tap the cheapshotted npc or player. It brings up some new possibility of tactics.

I always wanted to play an elf that was a mage or warlock, now i can, the paly doesn't interest me at all.

There's truly something compelling about the Blood Elves and their traditions and history being steeped in magic. It's that sort of thing that draws me to the idea of a pure magic user.
