Do compromised items (items that were disenchanted into nexus), returned via in-game mail? Or do they suddenly appear?
I would very much like to start the process of atleast raiding again, and that requires me running instances for some basic equipment. I'd rather not lose these items as well.

Not to worry, Yoob; I can assure you that any items that are gained during the time the Investigation Team is looking into your account will not be lost if we are able to provide you with a restoration of your items. Once the investigation process is complete, you will be contacted via e-mail with additional information. Good luck!
