Hey there, first off I want to say that this forum is a great idea and you guys are on-the-ball with replaies. Thanks!
OK, my question: Right inside of the Blackrock spire instance, there is a mob names "Scarshield Spellinbinder" (or something along those lines). It is possible to have a priest mind-control these mobs and cast a fire-resistant buff on a friendly unit, that will increase fire resistance by 82 or 83. Is using this trick and buffing a raid with FR buffs before a raid like Molten Core or Blackwing lair considered an exploit?
My personal opinion is that this should not be considered an exploit - the devs. know what they are doing, and place certain spells on each mobs so that if they are mind controlled, they have that certain spell. (For instance, I usually have my alt priest Mind Control one of the paladin class characters in Scarlet monastery before we take on herod, gives the party the auro which will increase armor.
The only thing that differs my opinion is when searching google images, I came upon a screenshot where a person and a GM have a conversation and the Fire Reistsance buff is considered an exploit. (Screenshot here: http://pacifistguild.org/ragnaros/gm_4.jpg).
Thank you for your time, and keep up the great work on the forums!
It's not rape - it's surprise sex!

Using Mind Control to have a Scarshield Spellbinder buff your party with "Resist Fire" is not considered to be an exploitation of game mechanics, but rather the clever use of an "easter egg" of sorts deliberately implemented by our developers. My guild does it all the time before we take on Ragnaros. Buff to your heart's content. :)
Also: Xeonic, I would strongly recommend that you consider changing your signature, as it is inappropriate for these forums. Thanks. :)
Do it for the Pterrordax.
