Subject: Are Farmers just as guilty as Bot-Users?
I don't know anything about bot programs, but I have noticed a two characters who spend too much time in Azshara, which is my favorite spot to hunt during long waits between battleground matches.

The two level-60 farmers I have noticed appear in the same section of Azshara too often for them to be legitimate WoW gamers.

If they are full-time farmers, who should I report them to? or should I just ignore them?

Q u o t e:
You can not report another player on the probability that they are a commercial gold farmer.

You certainly can, and we will work to determine with greater certainty whether or not the player's methods violate our Terms of Use.

Okay hell has frozen over - a GM agreed with me - I now know I am still asleep and this is all a dream.

Q u o t e:
If this is true, Batta, then why is it that people farm honor on each other's accounts and nothing is done but to give them grand marshal or horde version rank? seems to me that if they wanted to stop the sharing of accounts, this would be one of the first places they would look. it doesn't take much to figure out that someone can't physically stay up that many hours to farm that much rep/honor. I'm guessing this is being addressed in the upcoming patches but in the mean time, it's nearly impossible to rank up a char against those that are doing it with guilds or businesses behind them.

If you feel that a player may be guilty of account sharing in order to gain unfair PvP advantages, feel free to submit an in-game petition so that we may further investigate the player. Although we will be unable to inform you of the results of the investigation, the Game Master responding to the petition will forward the matter onto the appropriate departments for further analysis.

Q u o t e:
I feel it's unfair to constantly ask the player base to rat out individuals for something that's obvious.

This is very much the point, Xelresia. While I can sympathize greatly with your feelings regarding account sharing, you must understand that, as a player on your realm, you are witness to much more of the community happenings. With over six million subscribers and hundreds of realms worldwide, we simply have not the resources to monitor and police in-game regularly. If someone on your realm is blatantly abusing the Terms of Use, your realm community would be the first to know about it. Just because one particular account is logged in slightly more frequently than all of the others does not necessarily mean that a red flag will arise within the Game Master department.

Your privacy will always be maintained whenever submitting any in-game petitions reporting inappropriate Behavior/Harassment; and, we will work to investigate your claim and take appropriate action.
