I have been playing this game since closed beta until now. During my extensive playtime I have created a character of every class (on Horde only) and leveled all but 2 to level 61 or higher. As a result I only have a single character slot open. Now, with the expansion, that last slot will no doubt be filled with the DK class which will leave me with no more slots.
My question is this: Will the hero classes take a character slot (I'm guessing they will) or because of their unusual position they may not technically take up a slot. And if they do, is there any plans on expanding the number of characters able to be created on a single account be it free or paid for? Perhaps character transfers from one account to another (yes, I see the great potential abuse for this)
I'm sure I am not alone in this category of people not having enough character slots, be it alts, mules, friend/family's characters, opposing faction characters, etc.
I very much enjoy this game (obviously with 9 characters) but I really don't want to be forced to choose to either play the newest hero class or delete one of my alts.
Please think about this.
(PS, making characters movable in the character selection screen so their order can be changed would be great too:) )

The new hero class will take a character slot. We have no plans to add more character slots. So, much like with the addition of Draenei and Blood Elves, my suggestion would be strategic deletion if you want to add the new Death Knight to your repertoire.

Frankly, I don't much want to have to delete a character I've invested a significant amount of time into in order to try a new class, and it seems a bit unfair that the only alternative is to fork over the money to transfer a character to another server, where it will likely sit unplayed anyway.
The feedback has been noted on this. We shall see if the decision changes further down the road or not.
