Subject: Blue Response plz to Meta gem question.

Does the Relentless Earthstorm Diamond work for casters or just melee? it's pretty misleading because the agility would naturally make u think it's for melee, but it doesn't specify and there is a thread on mage forums if they should socket it, yet they have no evidence that it works, only from what they have read.
Could we get a response on if it does or doesn't? thank you.

Relentless Earthstorm Diamond
+12 Agility & 3% Increased Critical Damage

It's a crit damage modifier, which means it's increasing the damage your crits do, not the chance they have to happen. It isn't specific to any school or damage type, it works for spells, melee, and ranged.

Instead of getting a 100% damage bonus with a crit, you would be getting a 103% damage bonus with a crit using that meta gem.

Q u o t e:
So assume you don't have talents and you crit with a spell that normally crits for 150% damage (all of them without talents), does it:

-Do 153% damage, increasing the critical damage by 3% of the base?

Yes. It's an increase of the base.
