| I would like to post my concerns about the feedback those of us not in the Beta testing have received so far about Spirit gear itemization. So far, from the reports on the Priest Forum, Spirit has been nearly removed from gear itemization in TBC gear. I would like to make the developers aware that there is a strong base of support for better Spirit itemization.
Already, in the current game Spirit gear is the least developed item bonus. Priests, who make the most use out of this stat, often see gear built for other casters (mage/warlock/druid) with higher Spirit than gear built for them. Indeed, often gear that is many levels below end game winds up with the highest bonuses to Spirit out of all the items. An example is the Epic Chest piece that drops in Sunken Temple. This item has the highest Spirit allocation out of any Chest piece in the game (+30), even above the Priest Tier 3 set. Non-set Spirit gear is also quite abysmal....of all the Epic Staves that have a minimum level requirement of 60, the Spirit piece has the lowest item level (Will of Arlokk). The only other non-set Spirit piece I can recall off the top of my head is the Gloves of Rapid Evolution. No other itemized stat faces this kind of disregard.
With higher and higher capabilities Spirit is providing Priests, but lower and lower opportunities to obtain gear with +Spirit (even on +healing gear), it seems to many of us that the class designers are not communicating with the item designers or vice versa.
I was a Spirit based Priest before Spiritual Guidance was a talent - a talent, I'd like to point out, that was so effective all other casters now have their own version(s) of it.
I shouldn't need to go into all the benefits of Spirit for Priests here....those should be well known by the designers. One benefit of making more Spirit gear, though, is that it actually gives Priests non-set items that people don't have problems letting us bid on (unlike +damage gear).
Please, please, either dispell the concerns of myself and many other Priests by letting us know that Spirit has not been forgotten, or let us know that our voices are being heard and more Spirit gear will be created for the growing base of support.
Thanks.

| Actually, we do expect spirit to play a significant role in Priest and Druid itemization. However, you won't really see that borne out until you're running the endgame instances (for both 5-person and raid).
We do have slightly different itemization philosophies for what we consider "level up" content versus "end game" content, so I would caution against using level-up itemization to extrapolate what the itemization is like at level 70.

Q u o t e: Kalgan while you are here I have a question to ask if I may. I realise Tier 4 may be a while away yet, and that nothing would be near final but what are the sets aimed at in terms of stats? Are they pure raiding sets? Or mixed sets?
Being a hybrid class myself I just wanted to know what kind of set to look forward too, although I'm not one to complain either way.
EDIT: Just realised I didnt post on my main ~Magictoilet - 60 Paladin - Doomhammer realm
There is a tier 4 set for most builds for each class.
The boss drops a "token" for a certain slot for a certain set of classes (it's not really called a "token", but I'm speaking of it mechanically here), which you then turn in for the type of set piece of your choice (ie: for a warrior, the tanking plate or the dps plate, or for a druid you choose between the healing, moonkin, or feral gear).
