In all seriousness, really, why would anyone purchase additional stable spaces and store extra mounts?
Lets say I have my warhorse and use that as my 'Summon Mount' for transportation, what do other players use the extra purchased slots for?
Secondly, do you pay maintenance on these slots over a period of time?

Uh oh.
Those slots are really only for Hunters' pets. You can't store mounts in them.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news if you have already purchased one of these.
