| We have been working on gruul for a little while now, we have enough raid dps to (theoretically) kill him before 11 grows.
From what we can gather, shatter is the biggest thing killing everyone.
Is there a good technique to use to help mitigate shatter? The ground slam is forcing people away from thier possitions, grouping them up, and killing them. Rogues are at least able to CloS out of it to get to better possitioning, but still get stuck in clusters of people.

Q u o t e:
This is your problem. There are no "positions" for Gruul. Everyone just needs to spread out for shatter, and adapt to where they wind up. People should not be arbitrarily trying to get back to a certain area in the room , that is a surefire way to fail.
I'm going to have to agree here. While I do think it's a good idea to have an initial position plan, (a general starting point to ensure the encounter begins with everyone as spread out as possible), this fight, in my opinion is largely about adaptation.
Also, make sure all guild members listen to "Eye of the Tiger" during the fight - it helps.
