Subject: Will beta players toons transfer to final?

I havent found anything related to this at all, and since I came into WOW post-BC, I don't know the answer to this: After the eta is over, and the final release of WOTLK comes out, will those who had beta toons transfer their toons to the regular realms? or will they lose what they have done and have to restart fresh, like all the other non-beta players?

None of the characters in any of our beta testing phases have carried over to the live version and there are no plans to change this. The Beta is still the Beta.
