I have recently purchased the Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond (+12 critical strike rating, 5% chance to resist Root and Snare effects) and have socketed it into my helm. It requires to work, that I have more Red than yellow gems. This too, I have succeeded with. I have a total of 3 red gems and only 1 yellow gem, however, the extra 12 critical strike rating is not being added. I have since talked to a GM who helped me out by looking it over an throughly analyzing what was happening, but claimed "There was no known issue".
So now I turn to the forums, for hopefully, some light on this issue.
The added bonus is even lit up on my helm like it should be (Yet the crit strike rating isn't being added)
Help is much appreciated! :)

The Enigmatic Skyfire gem is known as not offering it's proper bonus when the conditions are met. There is a fix for this going into the upcoming content patch.
Got any eggs for fats?
