| | We seriously need it with this new expansion leather isn't paying the bills anymore.
Take away the ability for a Hunter to wear Chainmail and give it to Rogues. Stick the Hunter's with the Leather, wtf do Hunter's need chainmail for, they have a pet and are ranged dps. Go figure.
Historically in MMO's Rogue's wear Chain also.
People may laugh at this request, but imagine the responses a Shaman would have gotten month's ago asking for Dual Wield.

Yes, because the sound of *clink clink clink* is so very very stealthy.

With the level cap at 70 now it is very difficult being on the frontlines as a leather wearer. Most all other classes are either ranged, or have better ways to mitigate all their aggro and damage.
Examples:
Druid - A leather wearer, but can reach up to 24k armor as bear. Can heal, dps, tank.
Hunter - Ranged. Has a pet. Can wear chain. Has FD, traps, scatter shot to mitigate aggro.
Mage - Ranged. Has frost nova along with many other CC affects to overcome mitigation as a cloth wearer.
Paladin - Wears Plate. Can heal/bubble to negate any damage taken. Can wield a Shield (any of which has AC higher than a Rogue.)
Priest - Ranged. AOE Fear, power shields, HoT's, great healing to overcome being a clothie.
Shaman - Ranged or melee depends on playstyle. Wears chain. Can heal to negate damage taken. Can also Dual Wield. Can wield a Shield (any of which has AC higher than a Rogue.)
Warlock - Ranged. Has Single Target Fear, AOE Fear, Deathcoil, and Charm to get mobs away from them. Can also drain life and make Healthstones to heal damage taken.
Warrior - Tank. Plate Wearer. Great HP/Armor. Can AOE fear. Can wield a Shield (any of which has AC higher than a Rogue.)
Historically in MMO's Rogue's wear Chain also.

With the level cap at 70 now it is very difficult being on the frontlines as a leather wearer. We die during many boss fights due to no way to mitigate AOE damage while we are up close. Sometimes it is hard to back out and even attempt to bandage because we have to be so close and are so squishy. Most all other classes are either ranged, or have better ways to mitigate all their aggro and damage.

Priest - Ranged. AOE Fear, power shields, HoT's, great healing to overcome being a clothie. Can also spec Shadow to cut down on damage input and HEAVILY increase damage output.

Generally in MMO's/RPG's Rogue's wear Chain also.

| | Rogues seriously need Chainmail or something with this new expansion, leather isn't paying the bills anymore.
My proposal:
31 Point Combat Talent
Armor Proficiency: Mail
"Allows the Rogue to wear mail armor."
(requires 30 points into combat.)
or can put an additional talent under the Dodge in Combat
6 Point Combat Talent
Studded Armor (trainable 3 ranks)
"Increases the Rogue's bonus from armor."
first rank: 10%
second rank: 20%
third rank: 30%
(requires 5 points into Dodge)
**can tool around with the trainable ranks and %bonus, but you all get the idea. 30% is a nice/fair bonus and would work out well without creating an imbalance.
These talents would actually give a "Combat" feel to the tree and support it's name. Which doesn't feel very "Combat" as it is.

| | Rogues seriously need Chainmail or something with this new expansion, leather isn't paying the bills anymore. Upon getting level 70 I was left with way less crit and dodge than I had at level 60. This SEVERELY lowers our mitigation. Now after being 70 for almost a month I have full level 70 armor and weapons, and my %'s still aren't what they used to be. Given even the T4 and T5 stats, I cannot forsee any major boosts in the future upgrade wise.
My proposal; either let us learn Chainmail at level 40 at our Rogue Trainer or:
31 Point Combat Talent
Armor Proficiency: Mail (trainable 1 rank.)
"Allows the Rogue to wear mail armor."
