We're aware that the following realms are currently experiencing issues that are disconnecting players or keeping players from connecting. Our network and database administrators are currently working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We'll provide an update in approximately 30 minutes.

Update 8:03 PM PST
We believe we've found a solution to the issue and we're in the process of testing it, and then restarting the realms and confirming the fix has been applied and resolves the issue successfully. We're currently anticipating the realms will be back up within 30 minutes if the solution is successful. We'll provide another update in approximately 30 minutes.

If it's any consolation, I'll hang out with you guys in this thread. I'm at home and my realm is down. Drysc has updated the OP, if you haven't seen yet. We've got engineers on the case, so we'll work something out.

The majority of affected realms are now up and accepting players. The solution applied is temporary and we will be performing a maintenance later this evening to implement a more permanent one. Further information will be provided shortly. We're in the process of testing these realms for any further issues as they come back up and we'll provide further updates as necessary.

One point I'd like to make is that when the realms do come up, try to be gentle on authentication. ;)
It can only process so many folks at a time, so if a doorway is a hundred people wide and you try to cram over nine thousand players in, 8,900 are going to experience some delay in logging in. Just something to keep in mind. ;)

We are aware of it being down. We will work to bring it up as soon as we can. It is not listed in this post because it is a seperate issue from what is occurring here.

The realm has been issued a fifteen minute countdown for restart. The GMs will test functionality when it comes back up.

The solution we applied to resolve this evening's issue is temporary and it's necessary that we perform a maintenance to implement a more permanent one. The below realms will undergo maintenance from 5:00 AM PST until approximately 7:00 AM PST, January 26. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you during your normal play schedule.
