| | I think I've been dazed about 4 times since going into Outland, and 3 of those 4 were simply from me accidentally rotating away from a mob while fighting in melee range. I can't actually remember ever having a problem with being dazed. I've been knocked off for sure, but a few times isn't really a hassle. I'm not sure why you're having problems. Maybe don't run through higher level zones? Get a faster mount? Travel around mobs instead of through them? Just some ideas. :)

Q u o t e: Drysc, what we want to know is this: Are you going to BRING THE ISSUE UP with the developers? And by issue, I'm about about what WE ALL have been experiencing, not your own dillusional experiences.
I'll definitely bring it up and see if the chance for a mob to daze has been increased with the expansion or with expansion zones/mobs.
I will also definitely admit that my playstyle may be more conservative than what is causing some of the frequent occurrences of being dazed for some of you, but I was just relating my own personal experience. This is a forum, if you're only looking to see posts praising your ideas or claims that aren't contrary to your own experience then you've probably picked the wrong venue. Is it annoying to be dazed? Sure, but there are clear and available ways to avoid it almost completely, even if that means actually killing things.
The mechanic itself is unlikely to be changed, and extremely unlikely at this point that it will be removed, but if there was an increase to the chance I'll try to find out the "hows and whys".
From my personal experience, which of course must be influenced by me cheating, lying, or not even having played the game, is that I haven't seen an increase and don't typically put myself in situations where I could be dazed.

| | After some investigation and meeting with the lead designers there has indeed been no change to daze. The mechanic functions exactly the same as it did prior to the expansion, for all zones and mobs. The increase you may be seeing is likely due to a return to being in a leveling process and thus being in zones and around mobs more often, instead of on a flight to specific points or inside a major city inbetween dungeons that most players became accustomed to while at the level 60 cap. Also as it's a probability to be dazed there's some amount of randomness there, and you can get a string of "bad luck". Couple that with the huge increase in time running around in zones questing and there can definitely be a perception that it's increased.
Again there has been no change to daze with the expansion or any recent patch. It's just one of those things you're going to run into more often while leveling.
If the argument has now switched over from a perception that it's increased to "I hate daze" then that's fine.

Q u o t e: because you CANNOT avoid ANY mobs in terrokar bone wastes for instance...
Kill them. You're attempting to bypass a hostile creature which we intend for you to fight, of course there's going to be some mechanic to keep you from just running through unscathed. You have ways to avoid being dazed, such as removing that mob from existence, your choice to use those options is yours.

Q u o t e: Dazed serves no useful purpose, aside from annoyance.
Drop it please.
Making it difficult for players to adventure into zones above their level, this is coupled with the obvious damage increase a mob will have so that they can attempt to discourage that player through death.
Discouraging players from running through zones and mobs without any thought put into avoiding dangerous areas.
Making a players actions count, to make careful choices when attacking. If a pull goes bad a simple auto-run shouldn't be a guaranteed escape.
Making a player aware of their surroundings, to watch their back and be careful of monsters around them.
Making a road actually worth something aside from a sometimes helpful guide on the overview map.

Q u o t e: ok ...how bout when the mobs are 10 , 20 levels lower...?
i mean, there is virtually NO interest for me there, and heck mobs will probably get instagibbed , so they should avoid me if they are gray ...not aggro on me unless i atack them..i fail to understand your logic there..
The chance for a mob to daze you grows smaller as your level disparity grows larger, but there's still a chance. Again it factors into creating areas of danger, regardless if you would one shot them if you actually wanted to fight. We don't feel the mechanic is overly invasive through day to day play, and it definitely serves its purposes.

Q u o t e: And just how exactly would you suggest that I escape if I get several adds and I have to bail in a hurry?
Any way you can. You shouldn't be guaranteed an escape. You messed up, you either made a bad pull or grabbed more mobs by not staying aware of your surroundings (or just unlucky to have one pop on top of you) and you have to deal with your failure. If that means you die then you die, and you'll hopefully be more careful in the future.
Q u o t e: daze is not cute, and it's not fun.
It's not supposed to be, it's a consequence.
