i was wondering if u have to buy the BC to keep playing WOW. and if u dont buy it, can u play with people who have got it?

No, you do not need to buy BC to continue playing WoW. You will still be able to play with people that have the expansion you just won't be able to go with them to any of the new expansion only areas.

You will not be able to level past 60 without the expansion. Sorry.
