It also states: "Because the Arena System is meant to be the ultimate PvP challenge, the level requirement to join an Arena Team is level 70."
Guess either tomorrow because 60 is the cap we get in, or we get to look at something we can't use... Course with the hole BE now looking ok in Azhara fix lol...
Anyhow So im guessing that was pre 2.0.1 patch info...?

Pre-70 you can join the arena in a skirmish mode. You need to be 70 to form a team, and thus be ranked, and thus attain arena points based on that rank. Thus, arena = rock.

I would agree, that's the best type of fun. I could argue that the substance to the skirmishes is the battle itself, but if you're looking for material rewards that make your character stronger, you're right, they don't exist in the skirmish games.
The skirmishes aren't going to appeal to everyone since they're just for fun and they don't offer any character advancement, but there are quite a few people interested in challenging PvP alone for their substance. It's a matter of preference, right? So it's obviously rewarding to someone, even though that's not you.
Joining a skirmish is just like a battleground. You queue up and are matched with other players.
