the subject basically says it all. why in the patch will honor still only update weekly rather then as we get it or atleast daily? The whole once a week update thing really kinda sucks.

As an additional point for interest's sake, the game servers could not really handle the load that would be put on it if Honor was gained the moment you won it. We do an all-at-once daily calculation at hours of generally lower population, because the number of request being sent to and fro can affect game play and stability.

That is kind of confusing since the system has to keep track of the honor that you gain. It also keeps track and reports your HKs in a real time manner. I don't see how it would be a problem to show you the honor gains that the system is already keeping track of.
The difference is client-side tallying and server-side tallying. Just because it shows up on your monitor does not mean that the actual game server is aware of the fact that you just ganked a Sergeant for X amount of honor. It'll just see you as having ganked the Sergeant. ;)
