Subject: Definitive answer on # of Debuff Slots in 2.0

Is it possible to get a definitive answer about the status of debuff slots in the upcoming 2.0 patch? We've seen varied responses regarding the possibility that it may or may not make release and we've seen times where it has been said that 40 debuff slots would be reserved for the expansion.

As an affliction warlock who depends on DoTs and curses to do the brunt of my damage, I'd really appreciate any information which would lend weight to a decision to go deep into affliction come 2.0.

I am also positive that other classes would appreciate this answer as well, since the introduction of many new talents and spells would increase the amount of debuffs on any given target at a single time.

Thank you in advance.

Q u o t e:
Just a quick verification, it is to my understanding that you can apply 40 debuffs on opponents on the PTR, but will we visually be able to see 40 debuffs on them as well, or will it still just visually look the same as it does now? As a shadow priest with vampiric embrace, shadow weaving, sw:pain, vampiric touch, AND misery, i'd like to know, thanks. =P

I was just going to point out that the 40 debuffs are available on the PTR. I'm not sure on how the visual aspect is working at current or how that might change or if it will as of yet.
