I cannot see my add-ons button when I go into my character list after signing on. I am not sure how to get it back? Any suggestions?

Calidascope,

The AddOns button on the Character Selection screen appears when World of Warcraft recognizes a successfully installed UI modification. If your AddOns button is missing from the Character Selection screen, please follow the instructions below.

1. Navigate to your World of Warcraft directory.
2. Remove or rename the WTF, CACHE, and INTERFACE folders.
(Note: After this step Windows Vista users will need to restart their system)
3. Next log in to the game with any character. This will recreate the three folders.
4. Now please exit the game.
5. Install the UI mods you wish to use. By default, all UI mods should be installed in the Interface folder. If you are not sure how to install your UI mods please contact the publisher of your mods. Technical Support does not offer assistance with UI mods.
6. Log back in to the game and pull up the Character Selection Screen.

You should now see the AddOns button on the character selection screen.

You should always use the most up to date UI mod. Using outdated mods can caused error messages with the game and/or cause graphical display errors.

Please also note these folders contain your saved macros and UI addons. By moving or deleting these folders you will also remove any saved preferences, UI addons, or macros you may have added. However, in order for us to troubleshoot the issue we need to remove any modifications to the game and make sure we are diagnosing the default settings.

NOTE: If the UI button still does not appear you will need to contact the publisher of your UI mod as the mod you are attempting to install may not be functioning properly.
