Subject: [Bug] Sound issues...

I figured i'd make a separate post for this in the proper format.

I'm having sound issues, and while I do have sound, sounds that aren't part of the natural background sound of the area, like an npc hitting something with a hammer, or me bringing up my character screen with the "C" key, are intermittently failing to make the sound associated with the action. For instance, I can stand there and hit the "C" key over and over, giving a few seconds between each hit, and it might make the sound one in four times. I've only tried this in Area 52. I've tweaked the sound settings, like increasing the number of channels and such, and I've made sure that the sound settings look correct. This might be obvious, but I feel it necessary to state, that I do not have this issue in the current live version of the WoW client. Also, my video driver isn't signed because i'm using the driver that nVidia suggested we use on their website after Microsoft released their Vista 3D games patch sometime last week.

Thanks for all the info guys. The developers are working on a fix. I'd like to say that it will be in the next PTR build, but I think it won't get in until the following one. We do not intend to let this go live.
