| | I don't like pugging. I like getting to know people I play with, which is why I enjoy running with guildies for the most part.
I can't really and never will pug raids in expansion. I'd like to stick with that. I know the raiding schedule. I show up prepared and on time. I play with people I like and I play the part of the game I enjoy the most.
Why do I have to put up with 5mans? I don't really like 5mans. If I didn't need the gear they provide to do what I like, I would never run them. I'd probably run them once to see what they look like, but that's it.

Posted the shorter versions because people don't like too many questions.

| | I've found that it's good to do a both. Yes, it's good to run with the same people consistently in that it allows you all to get to know what to expect from each other and it can make things easier. Raids tend to need much more coordination than pugs can normally pull off so there's a plus on the side of knowing those you group with. (This can apply to PvP for pugs and non-pugs as well.)
On the other end of the spectrum, I've met some really great people from pugs and it's also interesting to see how different people like to do different things. It gives you a fresh perspective, and you may just learn some new trick that you hadn't considered before. Also if you are in a guild that is looking to recruit new people, you may just run into someone that could be a perfect fit.
I try to balance my time out as much as possible between, PvP, solo-play, 5 mans (pug and non-pug) and raids. It's what keeps things fun for me.
I think that even if you dislike pugs, you may just be shorting yourself on meeting some new people and learning some new things. Even if you don't learn something knew, you have the potential to show someone else something knew and make their game experience a better one. It doesn't hurt to share the wealth of experience you may have with others. It's just good karma.

Sometimes, it makes you want to light your hair on fire just so you have an excuse to leave. ;)
It's never made me want to light my hair on fire (I like my hair) but I've definitely had those "bad" pug experiences that make you die a little on the inside. I've never just left one before though. I'm far too stubborn for that.

| | You're implying that you don't have a choice not to pug. Most guilds do run through the majority of the group content together to help each other. You can choose not to pug if your guild is solid and supportive. A raid centric guild tends to be just that. Nowhere in what I said did I say, you MUST pug. I just said you may miss out on meeting some different people and having some new experiences with them.
If someone wants to play one-dimensionally in the game, that's fine. But there is a lot more to the game than one dimension. There are layers of experiences.

Man wouldn't it be nice if we got everything we wanted?
With a question like this, I think my quote in my sig currently is rather apropos. ;)
