Subject: int shout nerf and our timer?
I don't really have a problem with our aoe fear being nerfed per say. I don't see any real reason why it should be nerfed but I can see how some whining always gets us nerfed.

SO the big question is wtf do we keep our THREE FREAKING MINUTE TIMER if the fear is no better then ANY OTHER fear in the game. I would suggest the skill be reset every 30 seconds.

Q u o t e:
I have however read that if the target resists it, none of the other targets get feared ... and that would be horrible.

This is not the case. Each target will make a resist check even if the targeted debuff is resisted.

any change in the cooldown then tseric?

Really, the devs just wanted to fix the spell so that it worked properly, not to tweak it until it worked differently. The changes being put to this are simple fixes.

Q u o t e:
I have two questions for Tseric if he hasn't fled the Warrior forums yet.

1. How can the developers justify changing one of our main abilities that has been in the game for so long without thinking about the impact it will have in group PvE and PvP for Warriors?

Your question assumes that the devs didn't think about this at all. I don't believe it is the intent for anyone to have an infinite target fear.

Q u o t e:
2. How can you (Tseric and the developers justify this as a bug fix when the skill was NOT bugged at all! The tooltip matched the skill perfectly, there was nothing bugged about the skill, the original intent was never to fear only 5 people and don't lie saying that it was but you guys never got around to it. What is the justification in naming this as a fix and not a nerf?

There were several bugs involved with this ability that perhaps you were not aware of. The first portion deals with the "fear" effect on the main target. If it was resisted, it would still be applied. Basically, the spell was working all the time with no chance to resist. Secondly, there were more recent bugs associated with the AoE fear portion which was resolved by reducing the potential number of targets. One of these being that the AoE fear shouldn't target totems.

You can call it whatever you like, but the fact is a number of bugs were resolved with the changes to this spell. Many of the arguments offered here are semantic and/or fueled by a strong urge to disagree with me...

Folks, the end-all-be-all of a spell or ability is not contained within a tooltip. Please read what I'm saying again before jumping to conclusions.

*points and laughs* Yes that was destroying the game for all...Thank god that was corrected...

I simply said it was one of the things corrected. I did not say all.

Q u o t e:
Can you get us some more info on these bugs please? Part of the problem, is we don't fully understand why it's being capped. How does it targeting totems effect the spell in the slightest? (as far as I know, it just makes an Immune message).

I would like to get you more info on this, but it isn't really possible yet. I have said what I can for now and I may be able to reveal more once the patch actually hits the live realms.

Bulls***. Bulls***. BULLS***!

You don't know. You can't answer squat. I'm not dumb enough to believe for a second that the devs won't allow dissemination of an unknown bug list on an ability that most of us can't find a damn thing wrong with. That's pure crap. It's the most bold-faced lie since the last Senatorial election.

I'll remember this and come back when the patch is released to explain further. If you think I'm such a liar why read any of my posts or involve yourself in this discussion at all?

Your commentary provides nothing to the discussion.

Q u o t e:
I am reading what you say.

"Your feeling of the intent" is not fact, but an assumption.

Indeed.

Q u o t e:
How did this go unnoticed for 16 months or longer with beta? How was this all of sudden an issue?

Bugs can crop up at any point in a revision or patch. Some may be new, others may be regressive bugs. Refer to what I said previously:

Q u o t e:
Secondly, there were more recent bugs associated with the AoE fear portion.

"more recent" being the operative phrase.
