Subject: Petition for Caydiem
I move the floor that we request Caydiem as our new CM.

Tseric has not even had the decency to stop all the madness in this server and the 1 blue post we do have is a lock thread by Caydiem. Perhaps he has the power to stand with Warriors.

Rogues love this one.
How long does it last?

Q u o t e:
p.s. Caydiem will NEVER come to this forum again. She was strictly here to perma-ban Devildog and scold the rest of us for discussing a protest act. She has absolutely zero interest in anything that anybody has to say from this board.

Is that so?

Q u o t e:
Caydiem,

you didnt actaully accomplish anything or make any progress with the warrior community from what you've posted in this thread. Please, we want our voices to be heard by the devs and that is what we've been asking for the longest time. That is why you should be here, not to make fun of someone.

Erenan,

When a CM says "you've not been forgotten," what do you hear? Caydiem and the other CMs are constantly taking the feedback noted here, and a hefty percentage of your suggestions make it straight to their meetings with the developers. I realize that you are frustrated by the perceived lack of attention, but it would do you well to bear in mind that "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence." There are, whether you like to believe it or not, many other aspects of the World of Warcraft besides the warrior class. ;) All will be attended to in due time.

As a last - before you post an angry reply, remember that unconstructive posts like yours are precisely what I and the other Forum Moderators are here to remove. I'd prefer you simply learn from this warning, rather than teach you a lesson through a vacation from the forums.

Q u o t e:
Coreiel: We feel alone and abandoned when we see no blue posts for months. You all may not think it matters whether or not there are threads stamped in blue but it does to the players here. Food for thought...

Aedak,

When there is no information from the development team, the CMs have nothing to blue-stamp posts with.

Part of the reason the CMs hesitate to make posts such as the one Caydiem just made are the responses that come from players like Erenan, who view non-informative replies as a "waste of time."

What I'm trying to express here is that you can't have it both ways. During the "dry spells" when there is no information from the developers to give to the Warrior community, the CMs can either, a) blue posts such as this one, without giving information, or b) simply refrain from posting. Obviously, in a perfect world, there would be informative posts every day. However, as I explained above, there are many, many other aspects of the game besides the warrior class, and it falls to each aspect of the game in turn (classes, professions, what have you) to accept said intermittent periods.

Edit: Thank you, Rishana and Beala, for concisely proving my point about the duality of the community on this delicate issue.

Q u o t e:
Personally? Whether a blue post brings dev information or not is a good thing to me. It's nice to actually see interaction with the CM's. Although I love the fact that 2 CM's magically appear to a decent rescue =P Our CM has yet to show. I dont see why a CM cant partake in normal conversation. You all play the game same as all of us, you should be able to talk with the rest of us as yourselves.

I'll admit to second-guessing my forum-moderatorly perception - even in just these last few minutes, this forum has been much more receptive to simple interaction than most of the boards we mods tend to.

As to your question about our opinions... You're just going to have to trust me on this one. ;) We've seen negative things happen far too often when a representative voices an "opinion" to be lured into that.

Finally, no class has "a CM." All CMs are devoted to all classes. There are simply some who spend more time in certain forums than others. (Ideally, nine individual CMs would certainly be nice, but as you can see, we haven't got nine.) This isn't a rebuke - just please, don't be deluded down the path of thinking Tseric is "yours" and Caydiem is "someone else's."

Sure, that would be great, Promethius. But how many of the CMs are raiding BWL/AQ regularly with other classes? Not too many..

Q u o t e:
If yer still here, Coreiel, I want to know one thing. Is the 'current' review as stands, for warriors the end of the line? or, will all classes be fed through a cycle of continuing re-works as the game changes. Because, frankly, when I see the level of the original warrior review, in comparison to all the rest of the class reviews, (and even the warlock review, as theirs was with ours) I'm a little dissapointed. Yes, maybe we didn't 'need' as much, but with as much as has been tweeked since, the trees have become broken once again, and desperately need looking at. ESPECIALLY the protection tree. Just my 2copper.

Aha! Something I can give a real, constructive answer to. ;)

The World of Warcraft is an ever-changing, evolving world. As new content is introduced (including the new skills given to other classes, not simply new dungeons or new armor), each class must be reviewed and re-reviewed and re-re-reviewed ad infinitum. This is simply the way of non-static games like MMOs.

Warriors will continually be considered and reviewed to make them mesh with the future patches and the developers' original vision. On this, you have my promise.

Now, will it happen precisely the way you want it to? Overnight? Perfectly every time? I wish I could answer yes, but these things I cannot promise. You Warriors have been patient, we certainly recognize that. However, bear in mind that each class faces the frustrations the Warrior class faces, on different levels, across the board. With a constantly-changing game, changes will periodically be happening - such is the way of things.

Q u o t e:
There is one full blown end game raiding CM. Any others?

What class do you play as your "main" Coreiel?(If you don't mind my asking and not knowing ahead of time) ;)

Forum Moderator, and no, I do not care to share which classes I play. Know that I have a warrior - that's the only thing relevant to the discussion.

Why do the wrath set bonuses suck for tanking. Devs forgot to redo them when they changed all the tier 2

I'm not a dev. I don't have your answer.

Unfortunately, I'm also not a CM, so I can't bring you your answer personally.

But I will gnaw on Tseric's heels when I see him.

Q u o t e:
Having been a forum mod for Eve Online, I'm pretty sure that the Forum Mods at the very least have the power to tell a CM or Developer "hey, can you please look at this?"

This is one of those posts.

Done long ago. =P

As you may have guessed from my silence, this is where the Forum Mod has to step down and defer to a CM. Unfortunately, no CMs have graveyard shifts, so this will have to wait at least until tomorrow morning. Your post has been earmarked and sent to the appropriate parties with a /nudge and a reminder of what Resurrection Sickness feels like, however. ;)

Q u o t e:
this really is the job of forum moderators for community forums like these: they watch for bad posts and lock stuff, but they also are able to alert CMs/Devs to things that may otherwise be missed.

Actually, this isn't part of my job description, Kaanerand. =P

I just like helping out where I can.
