Chances are, you won't even read this, and chances are, no one else will. But the best way to get things off my chest is to just vent it out.
Being a fury warrior, I find myself enjoying the class and having a great time after being MS. Just a fresh change, and it's probably something I'll stick to as I like the fast paced style of PvP it brings.
With almost every single patch, I've seen Warriors get nurfed. With almost every single patch, I've seen people complain about Shamans being overpowered. I think people have just straight out given up. Warriors have given up complaining about mages. And I didn't really know why, until now.
Our GM just DOESN'T LISTEN. For many months, we've been kept in the dark. Not a single post from our GM, not a single word.
Mages complained about being beaten by us, simply because they're crap, and they only just realised fully decked Warriors aren't insta kills like we used to be. We're a challenge. I can say the same about Rogues. They're by no means an insta kill, but they certainly have become a LOT tougher. Will I complain about it? Nope. I've had my arse absolutely handed to me by Rogues, and I accept that. This guy knew his class, and knew how to take me better then I knew how to take him.
Does this mean he should be nurfed? Well, in the eyes of people like Mages, I guess it would. Mages have SLAUGHTERED Warriors for a good part of the beginning of this game, until Warriors started to get epics, and epic weapons and discover their class and learn it. And it wasn't a matter of sheep, blink, frost nova, kill kill pew pew. It was skill. I often found fighting mages was awesome fun. It was a challenge. Mages didn't feel the same.
The day will come when I feel Rogues will out match, and equally match Warriors as they have been arising recently. Getting their tier 2 epics, and excellent BWL weapons, I stand not much of a chance. And the day will come where they are equal to us. Will this bring an outcry from Warriors?
It should I would imagine. We're used to having them be the paper to our scissors. But why would we bother? A post with over ONE THOUSAND Warriors outcrying to our GM, outcrying for an ear to hear our cries was made about the Wrath set.
Who listened? Who gave a crap?
NOT ONE RESPONSE TO SAY "stop wasting your times, we're not even listening". I would have had more respect for the gutsy GM to do that then to not listen at all.
These other classes are crying, and their voices are being heard. This Enrage nurf. Well, boy it hurts me. Not as much as people are making it out, but boy oh boy does it hurt.
This Wrath set is ATROCIOUS. The helm looks ridiculous, and the colours are like a toy from play school. It's pretty friggen crap, and Warriors have said this.
But OK, Blizzard don't listen. That's fine. They're a company. And their soul objective is money. Money, money, money. The new board-game, blizz-con, patching to keep people hooked at the instant they're about to quit. But what SICKENS me is when I read this:
"One Year Anniversary of World of Warcraft - Drake on 11/23/05
One year ago today, World of Warcraft was released in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. The traditional thing to do for a one-year anniversary might be to take a look back at the content we've patched into the game over the past year, but for this first anniversary we'd instead like to focus on you -- the main reason that Azeroth is such a vibrant and exciting place to adventure"
I almost VOMITTED. Us? Us you say? Pigs arse you value us. Not a SINGLE post from our bloody GM! NOT A SINGLE POST! Meanwhile the mages keep crying because now Warriros are a challenge, and then come to gloat in our forums all because they have an ear that listens to their cries?
It's getting beyond a joke. I'm not starting some petition, I'm not trying to convert people. I just feel I needed to vent my frustration, and what better place then here. In the forum that has no listener.

First off, hello. I haven't really broken the ice on this particular forum, so many (or all) of you may not know me.
Second, there are some things I admire and encourage straight out of the gate, face value, no strings attached...
Q u o t e: THey don't need to respond. We are warriors. We are fighters.
And may Gruumsh strike me down if I don't find a way to own other classes.
But srsly now, you may nerf the HELL out of my class. But guess what?
I aint quiting. Oh no. I'm gonna find yet another way to kill you.
Take this as a insult, as a joke, as a childlish boast, as an empty promise or anyhting else.
I WILL be in your face, cutting it in pieces one way or another.
Attitudes like this win games and make good players. Not only that, they will usually provide good feedback and ideas because they work through situations from a multitude of angles in an attempt to come out on top. This results in a nuanced understanding of situations and an ability to measure where the boundary of possibilty in game play really is. The difference between trying and doing.
Aside from that, I will listen and do what I can to encourage thoughtful debate on the topics that concern you as a class. Others that I've dealt with may say I come off as harsh, blunt and/or sarcastic. This is not untrue. Occasionally, I employ cynicism in my approach (the Greek philosophy sort, not the watered-down modern version). I might single out trolls from time to time. However, if you provide reasoned discussion, I am more than happy to indulge you. I may even admit that I'm wrong. It will be in the interest of truth.
Admittedly, it has been a while since I've played my warrior. I was going to reply to that other thread about 1st gen warriors, but I thought it best to start here. While I have been involved in more caster issues of late, clear discussion of issues with you should paint a good picture of the warrior's current situation. I don't regard it as an obstacle and I don't think you should, either.
We're all in it together.
I'll see y'all around.[ post edited by Tseric ]

Q u o t e: Yes, but he didnt say anything important.
If you just wanted blue text in this forum you could just adjust your monitor color.
Wow, my first post in this forum and you respond with that?
And you say I didn't say anything important?

Q u o t e: This translates into: "Hi, I'm the GM for warriors, but I dont play a warrior so instead of me doing my job and finding the problems on my own time, I need you all to figure it out for me." How lame, we pay for this game and get GMs who know nothing of the class they represent?
Forgive me, Tseric, if I come off blunt, or even harsh, but get on your warrior and play the damn game.
There is a great deal of assumption and misinformation in your post. I will do my best to clarify the various points you are trying to make.
First off, this is a forum for player discussion and feedback. To do that I must engage in conversation with you and we can share experiences and perspective. If you think I'm going to have a tier-2 character on every class forum I visit, you forget the fact that I work with this game more hours than I play it. If you think I can't understand issues because I don't have a tier-2 warrior, you lack faith in reason and communication. You also dramatize with your use of absolutes, such as the phrase "know nothing of the class". I know plenty about the class. What I don't know I can ask from one of two groups, the people who made the game and the people who play it. Your [inside info/holier-than-thou/devs don't play my class] attitude won't fly with me.
Oh, I forgive you. However, if I am to frequent this forum and you are to maintain your approach, we will find ourselves at odds. My purpose here is to establish communication, if you are at odds with that, you're just going to get more frustrated and I will continue posting.
And yah, I plan on playing the class. You'll pardon me if I have to balance it out with a few others, as every class I talk to demands I play thoroughly to understand their unique perspective.
