I guess I may be one of the few that these bags will benefit...
I'm usually carrying at least 32 shards. I try to have this number at all times in preparation for whatever I might be doing. Now, granted, a 28 slot bag is going to be a drop. However, I have now freed up a bag slot for loot. I have no problem with the trade-off of 4 shards for 16+ slots for loot, especially if the bag is auto-sorting my shards. I would like to think I manage my shards effectively, so this is just one thing that I can concern myself with less.
And shoot, did I mention I'm a tailor?
Hey, maybe not everyone is in the same boat as I am, but this is nothing but bonus for me.
If you want to argue about shard collection...well, that's another thread.
And on a final note, has anyone actually made a bag on the PTRs? Most of the commentary seems to be based on info from the pattern, which, I'm sure you'll agree, is not the complete story. Just something to think about...

I don't have all the data in front of me, but last I heard we were pushing for bonuses on the bags. Give me a bit and I can confirm it.
At any rate, changes have and do happen between PTR and actual patch.

No no. Here's the breakdown.
I use 2 16-slot bags to carry shards = 32 shards/2 bag slots
New bag lets me carry 28 shards with one slot.
So it's either 32 shards = 2 bag slots
or
28 shards = 1 bag slot

Ummmm....what else would you do on a test server but test things and make changes based on results? This really is more than just a peep-show for the players.

There are no buffs on the current soul shard bags. It is strongly considered to be something added at a later date. I will be sure they keep it in mind ;)
