Subject: Eyonix, this is madness.
   Eyonix,

Take a moment and consider the state of the Warlock community as reflected through this message board. What do you have to say? Can you characterize this as mere "frustration" or does it strike some part of you as a situation that is out of control? I am writing not to complain about bugs, oversights, developers, of game imbalance. I am writing because of you. Truth be told, I have no delusions that the Warlock class is "broken." I think we are plagued with more problems (save Hunters, perhaps) than any other class, and at the end of the day I still play my main (played a 'lock in the Beta), but I digress. There have been thoughtful and polite posts that have illustrated various issues of problems with our class in painstaking detail.
I am writing to express my utter lack of faith in you as a CM. For the love of God, Eyonix, there are currently posts designed specifically to get locked just so there is some evidence of presence on these boards. Eyonix, that is not simply a kid complaining and being vulgar for vulgarities sake. Personally, I haven't commented on the more inflammatory posts as I think they only give you a false reason to not address the community at large, and here is the irony: those posts discourage you from responding just like your representation is discouraging me in keeping interest in WoW. I'm not making a melodramatic statement about cancelling my account, but your responses (when they actually appear) are flippant, snide, and lately, childish. (For those of you who don't remember yesterday's fiasco where Eyonix made an extremely poorly worded post (which is what he would have to say, otherwise he was admitting he was biased toward Mages) in response to a frustrated poster, and then apologized for creating "confusion" among "some" of the community.)
I do not ask people to turn this into a flame thread. I do not ask that people use this thread to detail the problems with the warlock class. I understand that I have no control over what happens to this post once I submit it. However, what I hope is a simple signature or gesture of support. What I do not expect is Eyonix to even respond to this or any of the myriad of posts that embrace this exact subject.

I'm sorry but I can't moderate the Warlock forum every minute of the day. I come here periodically each shift and review the information contained in constructively written threads. Please consider when posting inappropriate threads to see if "I'm doing my job", that I may not even be in the office, as was the case most recently. Also realize that violations of our Code of Conduct will be handled appropriately.

Q u o t e:
Eyonix,

First off, thank you for responding. As a customer to Blizzard, it is positive to see some service. However, I am concerned about your post. You mention that those posting inappropriate threads will be held accountable. That is absolutely fine. Were you implying that this thread was inappropriate? You don't cite any specific threads in your statement (even though I'm sure that we are familiar with what you are speaking about). If you were addressing other posts that were inappropriate, then again, I must express my frustration that the point of my thread was to illustrate to you that the communications have deteriorated so badly that posts were being made as evidence of a lack of CM presnce. Furthermore, (I assure you that I'm not piling on), you state that you can't be on every minute of every day. That, sir, is a snide comment from someone in your position and unfortunately provides the community with the very evidence that we don't want to believe: your concerns are not with this community, but rather flippant defenses. With all due respect this is not very professional. We do not expect you to be monitoring every post that is made and for you to imply such is quite telling.

I wasn't implying that this thread was inappropriate, as if it were it would either be locked or deleted (depending upon the severity of offense). I'm sorry that I wasn't clear in my messaging. I'm also sorry that you feel my previous comment was snide, but the fact remains, I'm not able to spend all of my time in this forum, which I stated as a result of the numerous inappropriate threads which were created to test whether or not I was present here on these boards, when in-fact, I hadn't even arrived to the studio.

With the above in mind, If you have concerns pertaining to the quality of my work, or my efforts as a Community Manager, please email them to wowreportedpost@blizzard.com. These boards are a place to discuss game play related issues, not a place to discuss Eyonix despite your feelings on the subject.

Q u o t e:
Perhaps if you gave us some feedback on which topics in the "constructively written threads" that you are reviewing are being brought up on a regular basis we would feel a bit more comfortable. I realize that you are just the "guy at the front desk" to take the messages for the devs, but maybe a little more input on your personal time spent dealing with Warlock-related issues (forums or otherwise) would create a better relationship with all of us who play the class.

In the spirit of communication I have some questions for you:

1. What issues do you personally think are the most critical and in need of attention for the Warlock?

2. From what you read on this forum, what do you see as being the chief complaints (lets say top 5) that players have for their class?

I have found that one of the best ways in making the customer happy is to listen carefully to what they have to say, and if you have to, repeat it back to them so that they at least know that you understand them. I think that most of the frustration on this forums comes not from playing the Warlock class, but from the lack of response to the well written threads.

The issues outlined in my "Warlock List" sticky thread are by far the most important at hand, Nathicrol. If you haven't had a chance to read it, I suggest you take a moment and do so. I will be updating it as new information becomes available to me.

Folks, Eyonix wasn't aware and for that I apologize (this was my failing, not his own) but the proper address to eMail feedback regarding Community Team performance is now wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com.

This is a new address created expressly for this purpose and it does go to the right people.
