I just wanted to draw rogues' attentions to the new PvP rankings:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/index.html?realmSelect=true
During the course of feedback, there's been a lot of concerns by rogues that rogues do not perform well in group PvP, but are only good in 1 on 1 PvP.
What we've known is that rogues are among the top performers in the Honor system. From our standpoint, that should mean that rogues are good in all forms of PvP, as you cannot excel in just 1 area and be among the top of across all ladders.
Anyway, I just wanted to get a discussion started about how rogues feel now that they can see who is doing well in PvP.

Q u o t e: You don't really have to "do well" in AV/WSG in order to earn decent honor, you just have to be there. It's pretty easily apparent that rogues have a hard time in AV if you just look at the standing board after a couple hours of the instance running and see all the rogues having crappy kill/death compared to other damage-dealing classes.
Actually, this is the opposite of what we've seen, which is that before the battlegrounds came out, rogues were among the top of the honor system. The battlegrounds definitely made it a more even playing field.

Players, you are not listening to what I am saying. Prior to the battlegrounds, rogues were among the top 3 classes in the Honor system across the board.
If you recall, prior to the battlegrounds, we really only had the Southshore <-> Tarren Mill outdoor PvP as the only consistent source for Honor points.
And I say again, rogues were among the top 3 (in most cases, the top 2) in the Honor system at that time.
I'm not giving you my opinion or how I feel about the situation, but rather, what the internal data showed at that time.
If you wish to argue, then by all means, feel free to do so. I am not using this to say rogues don't need a looking over, although that seems to be the stance that players are taking. I am only trying to open the floor to discussion about rogues in the Honor system.

Q u o t e: Tyren,
I've seen your posts on other class boards. You explain game mechanics and are a generally helpful fellow.
These "I'm on your side" then "I'm not on your side" posts are weird and make me uncomfortable.
The most favorable posts you make are the ones where you say "Discuss: blah blah blah" That's just not right for someone that's delivering our opinions to devs.
Do us a favor and IGNORE non rogues posting on ROGUE boards.
Very insightful Trump. Cheers!
I believe that there are areas that rogues need help or at least polish in. On the other hand, I believe rogues can be very powerful, given the right combination of knowledge, gear, talents, and practice.
While I do my best to get the first part accomplish through the dev team, I want to encourage the second part through the community itself, by connecting players with other players who can provide insight into how to better utilize the rogue class.
While players would probably like me to focus just on the first, I think the second could be just as powerful and beneficial to everyone.
