No revamp of the rogue class is needed. Our talent tree is well designed and we have many good talent combos to choose from. The major thing wrong with the rogue class that I see as I reach 1000+ attack power unbuffed is the fact that evisc is broken. I evisc for the same damage as a rogue in all green gear with very low attack power.
Currently, evisc does not scale up in damage like it should. As rogues gain more and more attack power through better gear, evisc is becomming a smaller and smaller portion of our damage. A rogue in all green/blue gear doesn't have that much attack power so it wasn't that much of an issue in the past. As we reach 1500+ attack power buffed and beyond in raids, evisc is not working properly. This is causing an unbalancing of the talents that are heavy in evisc damage.
This is a problem that will continue to stack up as the expansion is released and the new level cap is lvl 70. The epic gear at lvl 70 will no doubt have a huge amount of attack power which will make 31/8/12 rogues basically a waste because of the way evisc works.
Please look at the evisc ability and see what can be done to make it scale with stats like every other rogue ability in the game.

While I'd like it if you changed this to a "discussion" instead of a "petition", I wanted to thank you for this post. I'd normally welcome more discussion on this topic, but having lurked here for a few months now, I know it's been discussed like nobody's business.
This post is not intended to be more than a simple blue flag. There are people here listening, and while I'm a Forum Moderator, not a CM, I want you to know that I'm doing everything in my power to get your feedback to the people who can do something about it.

It's not "blued", but several of the views on that view count come from you-know-where. ;) We're keeping track.
To be perfectly honest, I can say that for all of Overen's posts. He impressed me a while ago, and all of his discussions since have been the sort I make sure get to the CMs' email boxes. But thank you for the direction. ;)

This is a serious request - I'm not here to be your CM (Class CMs don't even exist - all CMs are for all classes). I'm simply assisting the existing CMs in their duties.

I don't find it to be a "throw-away trash" thread. It's certainly an old concern, but it caught my eye as being extremely well-written and concise. You may have noticed, had you done more than simply glance at the blue text, that I am not, in fact, responding to the post. (Furthermore, you may have noticed that I have elsewhere praised the selfsame posts you're talking about, even while they lack the blue aura.)
There is neither denial nor affirmation of the concern (since I am not a developer, nor do I even speak to them about your concerns), simply praise for a singularly well-written thread that will be making its blue-haloed way to the attention of the CMs.

Just in case you missed my response in page four of this thread, please take a look-see. I'd like to do a little more for the rogue class than simply whining for Blue help in the forums if it's at all necessary/needed.
I didn't miss it, Overen, but that's not something that can be done.
Luckily, it doesn't need to be. ;)
