Subject: Multiple copies to test realms - exploit?
Sorry if this has been brought up before.

I just discovered I can copy the same character twice (probably more) to the test realms.

So, I started my copying one character to the test realm.

Then, I tried copying the same character to the test realm again. When I did it, it says a character with the same name already exists. It prompted me to change the name, so all I had to do was change it, and voila I have the exact copy of my first character in the test realm but under a different name.

Any character with a lot of money can make multiple copies of themselves and bring in a lot of money into the economy, and do certain other things, like change their talent specs (and test new talent builds. Some will argue that's the point of a test server though). I don't see how this would be game breaking, but I'd just like to know, is this working as intended or is it considered an exploit?

If you wish to copy your character to the test realm multiple times, that's fine. Although you can garner additional gold by doing this, as was mentioned by your fellow players, there's not much you can do with that gold. Character wipes will be common, and it's unlikely other players will be putting any items up for sale on the Auction House, since gold is easily obtained.

So, in short, copy at your own discretion.
