Are characters on the test server permanent or will they get wiped before each phase and need to be recopied?
I would like to participate in the testing process (I enjoy software testing enough that I'm doing it for a living) but I would also like to develop my characters. If I've been playing on the test server for a month and the server is wiped that month is basically lost time as far as character development is concerned.
Similarly, will the test server always be available for ordinary play so that I can play my characters even if there is no patch currently being tested?

Our current plan is to have the characters wiped from the test realm at the end of each phase.
But of course, if this plan changes I will inform these forums.
