Subject: Most of us were hoping for...
Actual changes and replacements, not adjustments to what we already have. Barely "adjusting" already useless spells is pointless. Eyonix and the devs seem to have a fun time crunching numbers with some kind of ideal scenario in mind. "Starshards can be better than mind flay!" Over 6 seconds? In what situation? When we are getting hammered on all sides in PvP? When is it going to be that we have six seconds to land this? Why is it that you don't factor in actual usability? At least half of the complaints that have been coming in for the last 2 months on these forums have been about survivability and seperatly: functionality of our abilities. Why are the devs ignoring this?

I know that I am not the first to gripe about expecting something new. I hope that the overwhelming disappointment about these "changes" tells you something about what most of us expected.

You're jumping the gun here, Poptart. Ignoring survivability? Why would our approach to improve priest survivability come in the form of abilities which aren't available to all priests? Priest survivability will improve as a result of the entirety of changes brought about with patch 1.10, and many of these changes have yet to be unveiled, so it's a little premature to accuse us of ignoring concerns.

I've been communicating very clearly the process of this review, each step, revealing our focus and direction, collecting feedback, answering questions, and providing both honest and realistic dialogue in an attempt to properly manage expectations.

These racial abilities are complimentary mechanics. We're not going to build the priest around them. There is a thread in which I'm collecting feedback pertaining to the racials. Perhaps you should read it, and post your thoughts.

Just keep in mind, priest survivability and priest specific racials are two seperate discussions. Blending them together doesn't do either of us any good.

Eyonix, you said in another thread " I'm going to be very honest, we're discussing additional tweaks for a few of the racials, but nothing dramatic." What then is the point of us posting our thoughts? So many constructive ideas have been posted, forgive us for being a little distraught.

I like to think that my motivation in pretty much everything I do in life is filled with at least some degree of good intention. Of course, I'm certainly not perfect. My point, some players weren't posting constructively, Nerodin. I've been gathering feedback, and yes, many constructive ideas were already posted. However, many players didn't post constructively, and offered very little to any discussion. I'm reminding those player that it's in their best interest not miss this opportunity, to stay focused, and provide their feedback.

Sometimes the best suggestion is one that hasn't been thought of.
