A couple of key points that I'd really like each of you to keep in mind when discussing my post concerning the upcoming priest class racial changes:
Every racial that was changed, received improvement, regardless of whether or not it was the specific improvement you had hoped for, this fact remains true.
These are the finalized changes that are going into the 1.10 PTR patch, not necessarily the live version of the game. Meaning, you'll have a chance to test the changes out yourself and provide feedback.
Priests are the only class that is able to learn racial specific abilities.
Comparing abilities to Fear Ward isn't very productive for this discussion.
I skip argumentative, unreasonable and mean spirited posts.
There are numerous other changes coming for the Priest, some of which I've announced. Please wait until you see the entire package 1.10 has to offer before passing judgment.
I'm dedicated to passing along all constructive feedback concerning this class to those responsible for making design changes. Please work with me and not against me.

Q u o t e: Eyonix, could you please explain this statement and the reasoning?
Thank you very much!
Fear Ward is a great ability, don't get me wrong. The fact remains, however, it's a narrow-use ability, which, while helpful in certain situations, isn't necessary during any encounter - despite the pedestal some players have chosen to place it upon. The large portion of the discussion relates this spell's usefulness in end-game raiding. I agree it's helpful. Again, it's not necessary, and no encounter in this game hinges on this ability.
This ability should not be used as a discussion crutch.
I've completed every instance in this game, including Molten Core and Blackwing Lair, time and time again without a dwarf priest so much in the furthest depths of my mind, let alone the dungeon.
My point, sure you're free to continually bring up Fear Ward in this topic, but it isn't productive. I'm much more interested in hearing how you feel we can further improve your existing abilities.
The grass is always greener on the other side...
