hey all i am new to the game having gotten the game 2 weeks ago,and i just do seem to level up as fast as my friends. Any suggestions? Thx.

Priests work bests in a good group, that is where they shine and the experience flies. If you are soloing, stick to monsters a couple levels below you as mentioned above. If you decide to go Shadow your DPS will rise and you will be able to kill much quicker but you will not be able to heal as well in Shadow Form.
One trick I found helpful was to find ranged monsters and DOT them, Mind Blast them, and then shoot them with your wand while casting Renew on yourself as needed. It seemed to go quickest and had the least amount of threat for me.

Holy Priests, once proven, will be hard pressed to not find a group. There are many classes that can heal but none can heal better than a Holy specced Priest.
I would suggest that you specify being a Holy Priest when looking for groups. Once word gets around of how well you keep everyone alive groups will be looking for you!
