Subject: Cay, question about ranged slot.
Have the devs bother to mention why paladins lack the ability to equip a ranged slot item such as a bow or a wand? I just wanted to know if there was a reason why paladins are not able to.

In point of fact, they have. I've mentioned this on the Paladin board before -- remember that it isn't just the Paladin class with this issue, but also Shaman and Druids. I wouldn't expect being able to use ranged weapons or wands, but they have been discussing potential uses for that slot, such as a new type of item.

Q u o t e:
If your Paladin forum answers made it into the weekly Puplic Relations post, people would be less inclined to repeat the questions.

In fact, during the Paladin review, there is nothing in the Weekly summary post. This is your fault, and yours alone.

Fix it.

I don't compile the Warcraft Weekly, so it is not, in fact, my fault and my fault alone. Thank you for the assumption, however.

I'll speak with Eyonix about it. In the future, though, I would suggest asking politely, rather than levelling a large, inflated finger of blame at me and implying that I have committed an unforgivable sin by not reminding Eyonix to check the Paladin forum for his compilation. Civil conversation is vastly preferred to hostile acts. Thank you.

Yeah give us a holy symbol or something that adds effects or bouns to our auras, that might be fun.

I'm fairly certain they'll be more all-around items that can assist the three classes I mentioned, rather than Paladin-specific items.

Books are somewhat questionable since there are already books for the off-hand.

And why would two lines intersected at a perpendicular angle be representative of anything regarding the Paladin class, hm? :)

Bah, being politically correct with a hero that got his abilities by dedicating his life to his/her God is so blah blah blah blah. Point taken.

"Happy Holidays" everybody! Heh....

Speaking as a loremonger...

Every game, every world, has its own cultures and symbols. Were I playing in the Forgotten Realms, for example, and I happened to be a Paladin of Tyr, what symbol should I, as the character, bear? The answer would be the hammer-and-scale sigil of the deity in question, rather than any real world equivalent.

The same holds true in World of Warcraft. There is, to my knowledge, no true symbol of the Light, other than, well, light. Nonetheless, the Light is where Paladin powers originate.

I am not being politically correct, but rather canonically correct. :P

Incomming D&D comparisons galore! *ducks*

Shhh! I deliberately didn't use that term to avoid such things! :P
