Subject: LOL, wasn't the mage review done months ago?
I remember Tseric saying about two weeks ago that the mage review was ~mostly done~ months ago.

LOL, LOL, LOL. I sure do hope bliz competitors see this forum. If I were a share holder of bliz stock, I'd be embarrased.

Q u o t e:
Perhaps for ONCE, the FLAMING FEEDBACK has done something.

Have to say no on that one. The feedback I collected wasn't from flamers, but from reasonable folks who expressed concerns about some of the changes.

Let me ask you this, do you want this to be done so you can cast final judgement on it and say "LOL, TOLD YOU IT WOULD SUCK". Seems to me like you might have given up before anything was actually changed or announced.

Let me ask something else, are you opposed to changes being made based on player feedback?

Q u o t e:
1) Is it officially recognized that Blink is broken?

Yes. Has been for a while. I've commented myself on it more than once over the course of my time here.

Q u o t e:
2) If so, how long has it been broken?

Some time. I am not sure when the original bug was entered.

Q u o t e:
3) In 1.11, will blink be fixed if it is broken?

No. Coding changes are in the works, but slated more for 1.12

Q u o t e:
4) How much feedback has their been from players that post ~concerns~ about blink being broke? Thousands? Tens of thousands? 100's of thousands? More?

Can't really gauge that accurately. Many posts have been put on the bug report forum, over time, that have assisted in narrowing down the issue.

Q u o t e:
5) Are they any other abilities/talents of mages that have been broken as long with such feedback?

This issue is somewhat related to the Arcane Missile bug and has some of the same symptoms. Arcane Missiles had a fix applied not too long ago.

Q u o t e:
6) Is bliz opposed to fixing bugs that players post feedback about?

Why would we be against fixing bugs?

The facts about blink is that it has been difficult to fix due to the spells interaction with terrain. The reproducability is not consistent, therefore it isn't really the spell itself, but certain circumstances it is used in.

We have rebuilt Blink already, but it did not completely resolve the issue. Now, we are planning a different approach which will again change the functionality of the spell, but still achieve the original intent.

Q u o t e:
Since Tseric won't answer this, or if he does it will be riddled with psycho corporate babble, I'll answer it for you. Pretend I am a Dev :)

Look at that. Let's set Tseric up so he has no chance at all. Thanks. Troll elsewhere.

Q u o t e:
WOW! No response from Tseric! Let me bump it again!

You received a reply for me, but you are greedy for another, eh? I assume you think this post is more important than everything else on the boards, huh?
