Subject: I just realized something, Mages.
We complain about Wand Specialization a lot. When I say I lot, I cannot BEGIN to emphasize the amount of complaints about this talent.

Well, lo and behold, I finally decided to move to another class. First one I looked at: Priest.

While looking at the Talent Calculator, I found something that made me do a double-take...Wand Specialization.

It's in their Disipline tree. But unlike us, where is it a tier two talent...their version is tier one.

Does the EXACT same thing, too...

Anyone else feel kind of dirty?

   Grass is always greener, eh?

You can not escape wand specialization!

MUHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

Seriously, though, it is a filler talent. I am quite aware no one likes it as a legitimate talent, but not every talent is going to be useful to an equal degree according to everyone. Not every talent is going to have equal usage.

Q u o t e:
You just admited it right there... Not EXACTLY but pretty much. Wand spec is not as useful as most other talents... It is just as you said, a filler talent to make mages think they have viable choices in the different trees, when infact there are only a few talents that are worth choosing in each tier of each tree. That's the same kind of thinking that leads too cookie cutter builds. Isn't that what we're trying to get rid of, Tseric?

But, at it's core it does offer some benefit, whether you want to use it or not. Again, you appear to be looking at it that "every single talent must in some way be a legitimate and desired choice by many, if not most". That is just not how talents work. Talents work off of improving abilities which a player uses most in their game play. It isn't a matter of buffing every ability until leetness is achieved.
