Subject: Mages: Thank you!
Thank you everyone for taking the time to write all of the wonderful feedback! Honestly, this community never ceases to amaze me. While I have delivered a full and comprehensive list of questions and concerns to the development team in regards to upcoming changes we're planning for the Mage, to my delight, I can already share with you, a few bits of developer knowledge, which will hopefully hold everyone over until I'm able to return with a more detailed report. In any case, I sincerely hope that each of you enjoy the information outlined below.

As you've probably already seen on our "Under Development" page, the Mage will be getting the new spell "Mage Armor", first available at level 34. This spell will allow for 30% of mana to regenerate while casting and also increases resistance to all schools of magic. This will not stack with Frost/Ice Armor, so the Mage will need to choose which armor spell is used by evaluating their current situation. However, the next content patch will also add Conjure Water (Rank 7), available at level 60 upon the completion of a special quest. This should alleviate some of the concern that has been expressed in regards to the downtime high level Mages endure while waiting for their mana to regenerate.

I've noted that many of you expressed that the mana cost required to cast Ice/Frost Armor was too high, and I'm happy to report that there will be a reduction to this in the next patch. Mage players should also be happy to know of two fixes planned for the next patch. One of which will fix a bug that caused players to fall through the world in certain situations when using Blink. The other will fix a bug where Arcane Missile would not function properly against spell reflecting targets.

I do want to reiterate that this is just a sneak preview of things to come, and will be updated as soon as more information is made available to me. I'm sure that I don't have to tell you guys, but you're most certainly encouraged to discuss these changes, as the feedback you provide is appreciated on many levels. Thank you.

Rest assured, I've discussed the Mage's requests to have a group version of Arcane Intellect with the development team, and they've decided to add this in an upcoming patch. As soon as I'm ready to announce a comprehensive and detailed report, I will include more specific information.
