Since mages are up and coming for a revamping, Id like this to be considered. In 40 man raids fireball/pyroblast debuffs take up en necessary debuff slots. The DOT from fireballs and pyroblasts should have a lower priority than any other (or most other) debuffs so they will be the ones to get knocked off, and not something more beneficial like COE or COS.
Another consideration would have it so we can click on and off the debuff.
It's already bad enough that they've almost removed the entire fire tree from MC/BWL raiding mages (although I still use fire in MC =P, and out dps frost/arc mages, COE FTW) but don't dont take fire away from AQ40!

This is basically what we are doing. Eventually, every debuff in the game will have a rank number to place it in a hierarchy of debuffs. The result will be that the lesser debuffs will get bumped off while retaining more valued debuffs on a creature or player.
I suspect that the Fireball debuff won't be ranked too high on the list, but that is mostly speculation at this point.
Granted, this may alleviate the issue in some cases and do absolutely nothing for other cases, such as not having a lot of debuffs on a target in the first place.
