Given that this community needs a unifying, cohesive force, and
Given that the previous such force proved Inadequate (elephants, buttocks, bans, indeterminate gender, level-one alts), and was as divisive as unifying, and
Given my clear penchant for self-aggrandizement,
I PROPOSE A MAGES ONION.
*But Caulk, what are the requirements to join?
REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ONION:
1. Be a mage. Or be a class that can two-shot a mage.
2. Be any level, but don't post as a level-one alt.
9. Have an opinion.
B. Buy into the "glass cannon" idea for mages.
4. Be willing to be led by your Caulk. Note that most of the WoW playerbase qualifies under this point alone.
5. Sometimes post using cool ASCII art.
*But Caulk, what are the benefits of being a MEMBER?
I will use reason, facts, and a large... membership... to persuade Blizzard that they should make the following changes:
OUR ENTIRELY REASONABLE LIST OF DEMANDS
1. 10 Crystal waters per cast.
2. Better itemization, including items that reduce spell resistance.
3.14 More new instances with better types of equipment, using cool words like "enigma" and "mystery."
2. Ban everyone that mentions elephants in an inappropriate way.
C. Fix the NW colorization to make us not look like Clowns.
5. Less Blizzard participation on the boards. It's inflammatory, and doesn't seem to help.
5. More Blizzard participation on the boards. It would help reduce the swelling discontent in the forum.

Keep in mind that I pre-date the internet age. In fact, I pre-date home computers of any kind. "Pong" wasn't even invented until I was already well into my teens.
For example, in another thread, someone accused me of being Tseric. I think it's simply the manner of speech that one acquires over the years.

But, srsly, this thread is for levity and to generate a happy sense of community. I looked at the subject as a play on words and a mild contre-temps of opinion. Politicizing it is decidely missing the point.
And no, this is not a grand conspiracy to discredit the Mage Union, as you had posted previously. For someone claiming experience and seasoning through age, you actually believe stuff like that? This is to have fun. Other threads, we can be more serious.
