Subject: Resists and Frostbolt
I wanted to take a moment and provide some clarification concerning the feedback I've seen on the boards, primarily posted in the Bug Reporting forum concerning Frostbolt not allowing for partial resists. It's been reported that this spell will either hit an opponent dealing 100% damage, or be completely resisted with no chance for a partial resist. This is partly true in as much as currently, all damage spells in the game with an added non-damage effect will completely resist when the non-damage effect is resisted. However, if a player's resistance reduces damage caused by pure damage spells by an average of 25% damage caused by spells will in-fact be reduced by an average of 25%.

It should be noted that we realize this system is especially noticiable with the Mages Frostbolt Spell when compared to Fireball and Shadowbolt, and improvements to this area are being explored . It should also be noted that we're investigating the resist over time factor of Frostbolt to ensure that it's in line with the all other nuke spells.
