Subject: slouken: nil's no longer save?
if you set a variable to a value onload for default and then change the value to nil during runtime, it will not save the nil, so that upon the next loading (even after VARIABLES_LOADED) it will use the onload value instead of nil.

THis is very inconvinient, not in so much that you can't work around it, but the fact that it breaks my traditional way to setting default values and made half a dozen addons stop storing data accross sessions.

As far as I can tell the code should still save nils, can you put together a minimal test addon to show this problem?

Ah, this is fixed for 1.12. Note that this means that saved variables which never existed will also be saved as nil.
