For a very long time now I would say around 10 months or so lock window has only worked for the first chatwindow tab. If you have more than one chat tab say you have 4 or 5 windows in the lower right. Then you would have 4 or 5 tabs you can click on to access different windows.
Well lock window only works for main. But if you lock any other window you can still drag it.
When the game first came out lock windows worked like it was suppose to then it broke one day and since then never got fixed.

This shows an example of having several windows.
The first tab on the left cant be dragged, but anyothers can be dragged lock wont work on those.[ post edited by Teyasio ]

Hey guys, it looks like there are several issues here. The issue regarding chat frames not being locked while there in the dock is working as intended. We felt that it would be a pain to have to unlock each window to drag it out.
That said, once a chat window is dragged out or popped out using the unlock command, it should be completely draggable. If you lock that window it should then be undraggable.
If you drag out the combat log and lock/unlock it should should save that state. I'll take a look at for patch 1.11 since patch 1.10 is out the door already.
I apologize if things slip through the cracks but we have many tasks and bugs that are deemed "high priority" =)
By the way, I'm Horkin and I wrote most of the kludgy xml/lua that you are all working with =P
