| |
The healer community has a very hard time parsing our performance because of the inconsistent ways healing done is displayed in the combat log.
HOTs like Renew only display actual amount healed. Direct heals show the value it tried to heal, even if it was an overheal.
Examples:
If Renew tops someone off, you'll see something like this:
Your Renew heals X for 162
Your Renew heals X for 162
Your Renew heals X for 50
[nothing, even if Renew ticks again.]
On the other hand, if you flash heal someone who is down by 500 HP, you'll see this:
Your Flash Heal heals X for 1021.
[There's no mention of the fact that you just overhealed by 521 points.]
Can you please change this so that only actual amounts healed are shown? This is what is already done for all damage spells and abilities.
Thank you![ post edited by Pater ]

Q u o t e: Thanks, edited the OP and my sample proposal that shows both overheal and critical overheal.
FYI, the combat log is only a prediction of what your character thinks is going to happen based on the current state. By the time the heal gets resolved the target might already be dead. This is a bug on my list, BTW, but is low priority, and would involve delaying the combat log message until the heal is resolved, which may not be desirable.

Just to let you know, this is changed for 1.10, healing is reported once the target is actually healed, so you won't get erroneous healing messages in the combat log.
We still aren't reporting overheals (just like we don't report overdamage)

Q u o t e: Please answer this:
Do it means if the target dies right before the spell go off client side we don't pay any mana for that spell cast?
Nope. It means you slid into second. Sometimes you're safe, and sometimes you're outta there. :)
