OK, so I know there is no outside API to interface with WoW at this point, but a question was brought to the creator of LCDHype on how to get info from WoW.
I know that a program can't directly access in-game info easily (could be done in memory, but that's sloppy), so my question is, how hard is it to write out a file at a consistent pace? Such as once a second?
So for example, take current exp, current gold, current health, current mana, current arrows/bullets, etc, and write that info to a file once a second?
Why can I never come up with a good signature?

Q u o t e:
I suspect the method that WoWPlayer et al use is the least likely to get you in trouble, it's been around for a while and works within the standard API's. It exploits the nature of the key bindings file, in that they're output in real-time when they get saved.
By the way, this is fixed in 1.9. Keybindings are saved on logout instead of immediately, like all other settings.
