We've had a few submissions recently saying that CTRA is causing disconnects in Warsong Gulch...the problem is that it's only in that zone, and we have absolutely no clue as to what the cause could be. Then this morning we received a submission linking us to this forum post on the WoW EU boards:
http://forums-en.wow-europe.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-tech-support-en&t=151543&p=1&tmp=1#post151543
Now I don't know how reliable of an answer that is, or if it is in fact true. We've spent a few hours now trying to find out what could possibly cause CTRA to disconnect players in WSG only, and no other zone. It really doesn't make sense to either Cide or myself. We're hoping you can provide us with any insight as to what we could be missing.
Thanks.

Could it be flood disconnections?

Q u o t e: i.e. Getting disconnected for trying to originate too many channel messages? Or are these other flood prevention measures in place on other API calls?
The flood disconnection code is server-based and monitors the complete data stream originating from the client. I don't know what the threshold is, but if there are too many client requests then the client is disconnected. This includes channel messages, spell cast attempts, movement packets, cache queries, etc.
