Subject: joining chat channels
   I am trying to use the "JoinChannelByName" command to join a chat channel and have that channel display in the default chat frame. Here is the command I have used:

/script JoinChannelByName("MyChannel", nil, DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:GetID());

or

/script JoinChannelByName("MyChannel", nil,ChatFrame1:GetID());

Both of these work to create the channel in my channel list, but I then need to manually "activate" it by right-clicking on the window tab and selecting the new channel.

Can someone give me some insight into what seems like a simple problem? (That has me completely stumped.)

Thanks.

   By the way, the game not joining your channels is a bug and is fixed for 1.6.1
