Given the topic nature, I thought I'd cross-post this:

I thought I'd start a thread on this as I've seen a lot of posts that are saying Servitude is dead as of patch 1.6.
Yes, 1.6 now makes it impossible for Servitude to cast pet spells automatically.
It does *not* prevent Servitude from toggling the auto-cast settings. This means that many of the "Smart" settings will still work.. ie Smart Lash of Pain, Smart Torment, Smart Firebolt etc.
For those functions that previously were automatically cast for you; you will now see text at the top of the screen to tell you which button you need to press to make that pet action occur..
I've bound all relevant pet actions to one of 2 buttons - these buttons will work for every pet, and their functions will depend on which pet you have out.
I've added audible alerts to functions that will occur in the heat of battle (Debuffs detected on party/raid members, Spell Lock, Fire Shield etc - I still need to make one for Sacrifice). I'll be making these audible alerts optional.
EDIT: The behavior of the alerts will still be based on your configuration - ie, only spells you've set to have Spell Lock priority will give you the audible alert to "Spell Lock!". Same deal with Devour Magic. If you have features disabled, it wont alert you about them.
Is Servitude ever going to be the same? No.. Have I abandoned it? No.. Will it still aid Warlocks in their fight for survival? YES!

Well, I'm not a designer, so I can't make any definitive statement, but it sounds okay to me. :)

This is really close to the Decursive functionality, which will probably go away someday, FYI...

Honestly, I'm not sure. I suspect it's the automatic choosing of targets, but it might also be binding the "right" command to a single button. I wouldn't worry about it now though, wait until the designers post the UI mod do's and don'ts.
