Subject: A small update on the update.
Yes, I know that doesn't sound terribly exciting. ;)

The next patch is looking to have some good things for Hunters in it, and we're in the process of preparing a preview of the new Survival tree for you. A lot has changed, and while I know you'd love to hear what and when right this very instant, I'd rather wait and get as much information as I can for you about the various changes to the tree. Just to give you a hint, however... once this change goes in, people won't be complaining about Lacerate anymore. ;)

That's not the only change coming your way, but it is the one on which I have the most information. I will continue to drill for information as time goes on and the patch approaches; with hope, I'll be able to give you some idea of what to expect all around.

As it stands, I just wanted to inform you that I'm not ignoring you and I plan on getting more information to you soon. Stay tuned.

(As an aside, I completely started over on my Hunter; I just couldn't get into the Dwarf for some reason. My new Hunter is 28 and climbing, and I started it last week. I'm trying my best on this one. ;) )

Q u o t e:
I think our biggest concern is about ranged dps in PVP, not the survival tree.

If lacecrate is replaced with anything, it would have to be more useful than SCATTERSHOT, because we can only get lacecrate or scattershot, not both. I currently don't see ANYTHING that will potentially be more usefull than scattershot, unless it's a stun.

I hope it wont turn out to be like "master demonologist" telent for warlocks, pretty much all warlocks respeced to find out it's useless, and repseced back to their original spec

I do believe part of the reason you're not concerned about the Survival tree is that it's ignored by most players due to the fact that other trees apply more to the typical Hunter way of playing. Because of this, many Hunters dismiss the tree entirely. This dismissal of an entire talent tree is, in fact, a pretty big issue. ;)

That said, it's not the only change going in. As I've said in the past, Hunters are getting a full, comprehensive review.

I suppose you mean because I'm not the official Hunter representative? I'm not; none of us are official class representatives.

However, as a community manager, I do need to know the game all around. I have three 50+ characters at this time, and my Hunter will be the fourth should all go well. :)

It wasn't a racial ability or a PvP decision. Sometimes I just can't "get into" a character for whatever reason.

I'm enjoying my Orc Hunter so far, and I'm going with pets I like rather than what's the most powerful... which means right now I'm using a blue Wind Serpent from Wailing Caverns. ;)

"I believe" qualifier duly noted.

*If* we do get some additional pet abilities with the next patch, the pet leveling issue will re-surface.

Are you aware of anything 'in the works' that will help alleviate some of the pain involved in leveling up a new pet.

This is of particular importance if pet abilities will be restricted to certain beast families since there are several types of beast where their 'wild' version is, at best, in the low 40s.

Thanks,
Auggie

As I've said in the past, the levelling issues are something of which the developers are well aware and reviewing.

Unbeleivable Cay.

You deleted your Hunter.

You have a shaman that's 50+ and I believe another character that's high level, besides your level 60 druid. And you chose to delete your hunter??????? Can't in that case you just make your hunter the same level as it was and just switch the race instead of starting from scratch.

After seeing your post before about the other higher level character I figured it was a hunter, but sadly I was mistaken.

I'm starting to believe that you guys truly do love shaman. If the Hunter CM's Shaman is almost 2x the level of on of her assigned classes.

***Rant off***

Hunters are not assigned to me. I am not assigned to Hunters.

My Hunter was not deleted. It still exists on my account.

I am not capable of switching the race; I'm not quite sure what abilities you seem to think I have, but that is not one of them. I also cannot "cheat" up my level. That's a poor way of playing the game in any case.

I started a new one. This one I am levelling faster and enjoying it far more. It is not my job to level up a Hunter. I am playing the character for enjoyment. It stands to reason, then, that I actually enjoy the character I'm playing with at any given time.
