Q u o t e:

A new addon available at curse-gaming is giving any class the ability to track enemies and display their location on radar. In fact, the radar displayed colored blips - red for enemy, green for ally. In addition, this addon auto-warns the group/raid your in with name,class,level of any enemy player that it detects. Say goodbye to your tracking usefulness in PvP when the mage is autowarning the group with loc and class before you have the time to look up whether the dot you see is an ally or enemy.

Please cay, please tell us you know of this addon and devs are working on a way to disable.

Description from curse-gaming

********** is a mod that makes searching for enemy players much easier. It has the following functions:
Detect a single enemy;
Detect all enemies;
Notify raid/party.
You can assign them to the keys in the Key Bindings menu.
When you think that an enemy may be near, just press your hotkey. In a fraction of a second, you will know if there is anyone in a large radius around you. Detected enemy will be displayed on your minimap (thanks to qTarget by RokkeR). You may then press a "notify raid/party" hotkey to warn your friends.

Detection might work slow in a higly-populated areas like capital cities.

Its already in the Hunter Thread but I'd feel better with a name that stands out more, and screams LOOK AT ME!
Qwer, Kopau, Purplehaze, You will all die by my Bow.

   We know about this, this is NOT an acceptable mod, and steps are being taken.

Such as...?

I am not going to go into the specifics of the steps we take when a mod is deemed unacceptable as defined by the Terms of Use, as doing such would also enlighten the wrong people as to our process and make it more difficult to take action against such things.

Q u o t e:
Yes, a very good point.

I use a mod to consolidate all my tracking abilities to a single little pulldown menu next to the mini map, as opposed to having to assign an entire hotbar to my most commonly used ones.

What is a legal tracking mod, and what qualifies as an illegal mod?

This particular mod is deemed unacceptable because it grants a class ability to everyone, thus giving others an unfair advantage and making the game work in a way that was not at all intended by the design team.

The mod you describe, Vio, does not give you an unfair advantage at all, and thus should be acceptable. :)
